Emily is a seventh grader at Hmong International Academy (HIA), in Minneapolis. She loves math, her friends and breakfast. Emily relies on Grab N’ Go breakfast, a school-based meal program that provides a nutritious breakfast for students to eat in the classroom. She says breakfast keeps her stomach full and her mind focused on her schoolwork. What’s her favorite Grab N’ Go breakfast item?

“I’m Emily and my favorite Grab N’ Go breakfast is a blueberry muffin.”

Help us make breakfast a regular part of the school day

Currently, 290,000 Minnesota students participate in the free and reduced-price meal program, but only 160,000 are participating in a breakfast program. Making breakfast a regular part of the school day, just like lunch, gives kids the fuel they need to learn and grow.
