We’re halfway through Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign to mobilize the public to take action on the issue of hunger. The month is full of events and opportunities to make a big difference in the lives of the one in 10 Minnesotans who are hungry. But if there’s just one day to focus on, it’s tomorrow! Sept. 14 is Hunger Action Day It’s the perfect time to spread awareness about the pervasive issue of hunger—so together we can Fill Another Table and help raise 12 million meals before Thanksgiving. Join us and help spread the word by turning the state orange!

  • Wear orange on Sept. 14! Get creative—turn your cubicle, office or home orange to draw attention to the serious issue of hunger.
  • Take photos of orange hunger actions. Share your photos on social media! Find us on Facebook and Twitter (@2harvest), and Instagram (@secondharvestheartland), and use hashtags #HungerActionDay, #HungerActionMonth and #FillAnotherTable! 
  • Watch local landmarks light up orange. Make it an evening and visit some of the sites going orange. See the map below to find a location near you that will be lit orange for Hunger Action Day.
