Plates for Good
September is Hunger Action Month, and this year we’re kicking it off with a new initiative. Plates for Good, which launches Sunday, Sept. 2, engages local restaurants to donate 10 percent of their food sales to Second Harvest Heartland. Throughout September, when you eat at participating Plates for Good restaurants on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, a portion of food sales will be donated to Second Harvest Heartland. For every dollar donated, Second Harvest Heartland can provide up to three meals for our neighbors in need.
Below is a sample of some of the amazing restaurants you’ll have to choose from in the Twin Cities metro. We invite you to dine out and help feed your hungry neighbors at the same time. A full restaurant list can be found at www.platesforgood.org
