Henry and Dylan continue to fight hunger—one doorstep at a time!

Henry and Dylan’s first Food & Fund Drive for Second Harvest Heartland was in 2010, when they distributed 175 empty bags on their neighbors’ doorsteps with the hopes of collecting 500 pounds of food. That year, they more than doubled their goal and collected 1,600 pounds of food and $500 in cash donations for our hungry neighbors! In 2011, Henry and Dylan recruited 15 more families in different Stillwater neighborhoods to help collect 1,802 pounds of food for a total of 3,402 pounds in two years!

We were delighted to see the two boys and their families again on Thursday when they dropped off bags of food for their fifth annual food drive. Once again this year, they unleashed their family and friends in their neighborhoods of Stillwater to collect bags—and bags and bags—of food. This year, they collected a total of 3,608 pounds of food, enough for 3,007 meals!

Thank you Henry and Dylan for your enthusiasm and hard work—you are an inspiration to us all!
