Whether through a gift of money or time, you can make a difference for families facing hunger this summer. Right now, your donation can go twice as far thanks to matching funds from a generous group of donors. Just $1 can provide 6 meals.
For every $1 you contribute, your gift can be MATCHED to help provide six meals to neighbors in need, and 92.5% of your donation goes directly to programs and services designed to end hunger. If you donate today, you can double your impact! Thanks to a generous gift from a supporter, your dollars will be matched up to $54,000 during the month of June.
Join us on Friday, June 9 at Heavy Rotation Brewing in Brooklyn Park for a special event with KARE 11 and Second Harvest Heartland. Meet the KARE 11 Sunrise team and help us combat summer hunger. Pints of the limited-edition Sunrise Citrus Wheat beer will be served from 4-10pm with proceeds benefiting the Summer Meals for Kids campaign.
Share your time, talents and generosity to help our food bank end hunger.

Filling your fridge during summer months can be challenging, but there are free resources across Minnesota that provide snacks and meals to children and teens 18 years old and younger.
The Free Meals for Kids app can direct you to meal sites where all are welcome and there is no need to register before visiting.
Free summer meal sites aren’t the only option for anyone in need of help. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), neighborhood food shelves and distribution sites, and other programs are available to keep everyone fed and well, especially as we continue to deal with high prices at the grocery store.
