Hunger Action Month - Get involved, help end hunger in Minnesota
September is Hunger Action Month, and we're calling on Minnesotans to join together to end hunger in our state and across America. You can help support your neighbors by getting involved:
Donate
A donation to Second Harvest Heartland helps your support go that much further, and even a small amount makes a big difference.
Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to show up for your neighbors and community. Gather your friends, family, or colleagues for a shift.
Advocate
Join a community of advocates who stay informed about anti-hunger policies and encourage your lawmakers to work to end hunger across our state.
WE ALL HAVE A PART TO PLAY
With the largest cuts to SNAP and Medicaid in history signed into law at the federal level, food and health care are now further out of reach for millions of Americans. Cuts to SNAP are expected to impact over 150,000 Minnesotans, and take away 6-9 billion meals nationwide each year.
One in five Minnesota Households already struggled to afford the groceries they need, it’s more urgent than ever to combat today’s hunger crisis.
