Table of Hope Society: Grant's Story
For ten years, the Table of Hope Society has been a pillar of profound commitment in the fight against hunger. Established in 2015, this group of dedicated donors have generously chosen to include Second Harvest Heartland as a part of their will or estate plan, fueling our mission and nourishing our communities. Since its inception, the Table of Hope Society has collectively provided millions of meals to those facing hunger.
Grant worked for years in private wealth management, helping his clients to lead their best lives by supporting their life goals and deeply held values. As someone who has helped families with wealth management, trusts, and estate plans, it was a natural fit for Grant to join the Table of Hope Society. "My wife and I recently became empty-nesters. It was time to think about my own estate plan."
Grant has served on the board of a variety of charitable organizations, including Second Harvest Heartland, where he also served as chair. His wife has worked her whole career in the student services division of a community foundation, so their family knows the importance of providing service to their community.
"Being a part of a community that cares for its neighbors is fundamental," says Grant. "The human condition exists within society. We need each other."
Grant deeply believes in the mission of Second Harvest Heartland, and has been directly engaged in ending hunger.
"Providing funds that go beyond our lifetime is a good way to share our fortunate circumstances," says Grant.
Please join us in honoring Grant, and all of the members of the Table of Hope Society. Together, we can ensure a brighter, hunger-free future for our community.
