Our Kitchen Coalition partner kitchens are always finding ways to give back to our communities by preparing fresh meals for our neighbors with barriers to cooking. With recent events, we know that a lot of these restaurants, caterers, and meal programs are in the process of recovering as everyone in Minnesota is looking to return to routine life.

We wanted to highlight our list of amazing Kitchen Coalition partners in hopes that the next time you plan your next meal or catered event, you'll consider supporting them, as they've been there for our neighbors.

Big Marina Grill and Deli: A Columbia Heights favorite, this spot has one of the Twin Cities’ most impressive buffets, allowing diners to savor the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean. Their partnership with Kitchen Coalition allows them to provide hearty, protein-rich Halal meals.

Oasis Mediterranean Grill: This restaurant specializes in authentic Middle Eastern flavors, from seasoned kebabs to hummus. By working with Kitchen Coalition, they ensure that neighbors have access to fresh, healthy Mediterranean meals.

They are also a founding partner of Kitchen Coalition, finding a way to rescue food, re-employ furloughed restaurant workers, and get urgently needed meals to people facing hunger.

The Real Minneapolis: This organization is deeply rooted in urban outreach, focusing on providing direct support to the city’s most vulnerable residents. Their collaboration with Kitchen Coalition ensures that they can provide hot, dignified meals to individuals who might otherwise lack access to a kitchen or fresh food.

The Red Sea Ethiopian Restaurant: A landmark on Cedar Avenue, The Red Sea is famous for its vibrant stews and injera. Their commitment to the community involves crafting Ethiopian classics to meet the dietary needs of neighbors. 

Tiffin Man: This eatery specializes in authentic Indian "tiffin" style meals, offering a rotating menu of vibrant curries and fresh spices. Through Kitchen Coalition, they leverage their expertise in plant-forward cooking to provide meals to the community.

Homi Restaurant: A St. Paul staple, Homi serves traditional Mexican food that tastes like a home-cooked meal. Their dedication to the community shines through their preparation of authentic, comforting dishes.

Healthy for Life Meals: This meal-prep service focuses on portion-controlled, nutritionally complete menus designed by dietitians. Their involvement with Kitchen Coalition is a natural fit, as they apply their specialized knowledge to make healthy fresh and frozen meals for neighbors.

Create Catering: A premier catering company, Create Catering brings their culinary creativity and industrial kitchen space to produce hundreds of meals a week to the Twin Cities.

Eat for Equity: This catering social enterprise was built on the idea of eating for a cause, making them a valuable partner with Kitchen Coalition. They focus on sustainable sourcing and inclusive menus. 

Involve MN: This non-profit focuses on "radical hospitality," providing high-quality meals and resources to those experiencing homelessness. Their partnership with Kitchen Coalition allows them to serve chef-prepared meals to at risk communities.

Power Plate Meals: Specializing in ready-to-eat, high-protein meals, this company makes healthy eating convenient for busy people. They donate their production expertise to Kitchen Coalition, creating protein-rich, satisfying meals for their community.

St. Paul College Culinary Program: This program trains the next generation of top chefs through rigorous hands-on instruction. By participating in Kitchen Coalition, students learn the vital importance of community service while honing their skills to create high-volume, professional-grade meals for neighbors.

Artisans and Spice: This catering team focuses on bold, global flavors and handcrafted dishes made from scratch. They use their artisanal techniques to ensure neighbors have access to food that is flavorful and thoughtfully prepared.
