So, they are turning to their local food shelf. In the last year, visits surpassed 9 million – setting a record for the third straight year. Economic uncertainty, and threats to federal funding of grocery assistance programs like SNAP, risk deepening the hunger crisis.
Addressing the growing and complex problem of food insecurity involves all of us coming to the table to assist our neighbors. Monthly donations are one of the most effective ways to do that – providing reliable support in a time of uncertainty.
