Give to the Max Day 2026
Mending the Seams: On November 19, join us for Give to the Max Day as we come together to support our fellow Minnesotans facing hunger. Our goal this year is to raise enough funds to provide 2 million meals for local families.
It’s been a tough year for our neighbors. In Minnesota, SNAP grocery assistance enrollment has declined by 20,000 over the last year, due to the largest federal funding cuts in history. And right now, 1 in 5 Minnesota families struggle to afford the groceries they need. But when Minnesota frays, our giving mends the seams.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Many of our neighbors will be counting on Second Harvest Heartland and our hunger-relief partners to put food on the table. That’s why our food bank is preparing to distribute over 35,000 pounds of turkey and other grocery staples to families in our community this season.
Give to the Max Day plays a big role in making our hunger-relief work possible and none of this could ever happen without the generosity of our community. If we all pitch in, we can ensure every neighbor has the food they need to thrive. Together, we can weave a resilient community.
Starting November 1, your gift can DOUBLE in impact. Every $1 you can give now through November 19 can go twice as far to provide 6 meals, thanks to matching funds from Crocus Foundation, Post Consumer Brands, and other generous sponsors.
