Fresh produce at a food shelf

Support Funding for Minnesota's Food Banks & Food Shelves

On the heels of $1.5 billion in federal cuts to local food programs, state lawmakers in St. Paul just passed an agriculture budget bill that guts Minnesota's successful Farm to Food Shelf program, which helps local growers offload their excess produce to the state's food banks, who then distribute those millions of pounds of food to food shelves across Minnesota. Urge your representatives to offset these cuts by including additional funding for food banks and food shelves in budget bills they have yet to vote on.
