Tell Your Legislators to Support the Minnesota Food Bank Program
In fiscal year 2023, Second Harvest Heartland provided the equivalent of more than 128 million meals, with food shelf visits in Minnesota at an all-time high. Demand for food assistance continues to rise, and our neighbors continue to need help getting food. One way that we can ensure that everyone has enough food is through state support for Minnesota's food banks.
The state legislature is currently in session, and there is a proposed bill to establish a Minnesota Food Bank Program. The program would help the state's seven food banks source and distribute more food to their hunger relief partners across the state.
Strengthening the hunger relief network is an important first step to making hunger history in Minnesota. Please tell your legislators that you support the creation of the Minnesota Food Bank Program.
