Volunteer with Clients and Distribute Fresh Produce
Fresh produce distributions help get fresh food into the communities that need it most.
Through the Fresh Produce Distribution Partnership, Second Harvest Heartland works with local food partners to increase the amount of fresh produce individuals and families have access to.
We Need You -- Volunteer at Fresh Produce Distribution Sites
Volunteers set up the distribution, sort food, greet clients as they arrive and hand the food to the clients. Some volunteers may be asked to assist in minimal client tracking. Instructions and training will be provided on site.
This opportunity is very physical and requires volunteers to be able to stand for three hours and be able to lift 10-20 pounds. Must be age 13 + to volunteer.
