Some Ways You Can Help

Employee Giving Program. Giving through payroll deduction via the Best Buy YourCause portal is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to support Second Harvest Heartland. Visit

Volunteer. Whether its general sorting & packing, packing boxes for seniors, or helping at fresh produce distributions we have a volunteer activity for everyone. To view these opportunities as well as information on special skilled volunteer needs or on-site volunteer activities, visit our volunteer page at

Volunteer Matching Grant. Through Best Buy’s TagTeam program, Best Buy provides volunteer grants to Second Harvest Heartland when groups of employees volunteer together. For details and to submit your volunteer grant request, visit the Best Buy YourCause portal.

Host a Virtual Drive or Traditional Food & Fund Drive. Engage your department, special committee, or affinity group and get them involved in hunger relief. Support Second Harvest Heartland by hosting an online virtual drive. You will have a dedicated donation page where donors “shop” online for food items with a monetary donation. You can also go the traditional route by hosting a traditional drive to collect shelf-stable foods and monetary donations. Visit our food & fund drive page to learn more.
