No one should go hungry. With your help, we are working to end hunger. In our efforts to provide more food to our hungry neighbors, we are working with our partners in the community and beyond to find new ways to reach people – at school, in their neighborhoods, when they visit the doctor and more.
If there wasn’t this to help out, I don’t know what I would do.
Without the food shelf, we probably wouldn’t be eating a full meal every day or I would be substituting a meal for myself to make sure my kids have a meal.
When we were young growing up, there wasn't this food box program for our parents. We worried a lot about our next meal. Now, having this food box, we don't worry about our next meal.
Communities we serve
Second Harvest Heartland serves 59 counties in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
How We’re Doing It:
As we continue to reach more people through new programs and partnerships, the demands on Second Harvest Heartland continue to grow. Last year, we distributed more than 80 million meals from the same location where fewer than 50 million meals were provided just six years ago.
At the heart of our work are two warehouses and fleet of trucks. Join us on a virtual tour to see our warehouse in action.
