Cargill Bioindustrials Group — President

Colleen May is the President of the Bioindustrials Group, leading Cargill’s global expansion of renewable and sustainable solutions for the industrial segments. She began her career as a commodity merchant and has held a variety of trading, risk management and commercial leadership positions in Cargill’s Grain & Oilseeds Supply Chain in North America, Animal Nutrition, and Trade & Structured Finance business units. Colleen has also served as the general manager of Cargill’s U.S. biodiesel and refined glycerin business. She was a process design leader for Cargill’s global SAP implementation project, while maintaining her role as head of Cargill Shareholder Relations. In 2012, she became the vice president of Corn Milling North America food segment. In 2014, Colleen became the global managing director of Cargill Texturizing & Specialties, before assuming her current position.

Colleen is a member of Cargill’s Commodity Risk Committee and serves as the president of the Cargill Foundation Board of Directors and vice president of Second Harvest Heartland’s Board of Directors.

Colleen graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Chemistry and Economics.

Colleen and her family live in Excelsior, Minnesota, where they enjoy the outdoors, (including all four Minnesota seasons), entertaining with friends, and traveling.
