If you’d like to donate perishable items to the Food Rescue Program, please call Kate Mudge, Food Rescue Manager, at 651.209.7921. Each week, the Food Rescue Program’s trucks and drivers regularly collect produce, dairy, meat, bakery and shelf-stable items from more than 100 area retail businesses. The Food Rescue Program is a great way to make significant donations of some of the most-needed food items.
The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Donations Act is a federal law ensuring that donors are protected from any civil and criminal liability if donated products somehow cause harm to a recipient. We encourage businesses to donate food and grocery products worry-free.
