Hunger has doubled in our community
Feeding America recently released the Hunger in America study, providing data on the emergency food system through food banks across the nation. More than 37 million Americans receive emergency food each year--a 46 percent increase since 2006. In the SHH service area alone, the number of households served each year has doubled.
