As partners, volunteers give their time and talents to aid hungry families in their communities. Last year, volunteers at Second Harvest Heartland gave nearly 34,000 hours of their time.

*Our policy requires that youth ages 14-18 must be accompanied by one adult age 21 or older in a minimum ratio of 1 adult to 6 youth. Volunteer requests for age 13 and under must be addressed on a case-by-case basis. In the warm weather months, volunteers must wear close-toed shoes. These requirements reflect safety concerns at our Second Harvest Heartland locations.
