Medtronic Employees Can Help End Hunger
Nobody should go hungry. Yet, one in 10 people in Minnesota and western Wisconsin struggle with hunger. When you choose Second Harvest Heartland, your support helps us serve our hungry neighbors so they can thrive at work, in the classroom and in their communities.
Last year, through employee gifts and matches, Medtronic employees donated $94,200 to Second Harvest Heartland providing 282,620 meals to hungry children, families and seniors in our community.
Some Ways You Can Help
Employee Giving. Choose Second Harvest Heartland as your charity of choice when giving through your company’s Mission in Motion program. This is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to donate to us.
Matching Gifts. When you donate to Second Harvest Heartland, the Medtronic Foundation will match your gift dollar-for-dollar from $25 to $100,000.
Volunteer Grant Program. Medtronic offers a volunteer program to recognize employees and volunteers who give their time to nonprofits. After an individual volunteers 25 hours per year with Second Harvest Heartland, the Medtronic Foundation will provide a volunteer grant of $500.

Host a Virtual Drive or Traditional Food & Fund Drive. Engage your corporate team, internal committee, or affinity group and make a difference in hunger relief.
Support Second Harvest Heartland by hosting an online virtual drive. You will have a dedicated donation page where donors “shop” online for food items with a monetary donation. You can also go the traditional route by hosting a traditional drive to collect shelf-stable foods and monetary donations. Visit our food & fund drive page to learn more.
