Food & Fund Drives have served as a staple for collecting donations for food banks like Second Harvest Heartland for decades.
The need for food continues to grow and we’re working every day to find new, more efficient and effective ways to do more with the food resources in our community to feed our hungry neighbors. This includes tapping into new sources of donated food; including fresh, nutritious produce from an ever-expanding network of growers, food manufacturers and processors.

Food & Fund Drive Featured Partner - General Mills
The annual General Mills’ employee drive was once again a huge success. As with every year, employees are so energized and engaged in helping support Second Harvest Heartland, and the Foundation matches both financial and food donations. Overall the drive generated $219,229 and 26,122 pounds, providing over 679,450 meals to our hungry neighbors in need! We are so grateful to General Mills, its employees and the General Mills Foundation for their ongoing commitment to Second Harvest Heartland and to helping us end hunger.
