Nordic American Thanksgiving Breakfast

You’re invited to attend the 31st Nordic American Thanksgiving Breakfast in a celebration of thankfulness for the privileges of freedom, faith, family and friends.

The 31st Nordic American Thanksgiving Breakfast will once again bring together people of Nordic heritage in a celebration of thankfulness for the privileges of freedom, faith, family and friends. This year’s breakfast includes three extraordinary speakers from the community who will discuss their experiences and personal feelings on each of these topics.

  • Reverend Mark Hanson, the former Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will speak on the topic of Faith.
  • Ford Bell, former President of the American Alliance of Museums will address the topic of Family and Friends.
  • Gina Torry, the newly appointed Nobel Peace Prize Forum Executive Director, will speak on the topic of Freedom.
  • Don Shelby, former WCCO anchor, will serving as Master of Ceremonies.

Along with being a celebration of thankfulness, the Nordic American Thanksgiving Breakfast is a charitable event that supports two charity partners: the Minnesota Military Family Foundation and Second Harvest Heartland.

The doors open at 6:30 a.m. and the program commences at 7:00 a.m. Tickets for this year’s event are $25 per person or $250 per 10-person reserved table. Reservations are required and may be made online or by calling Sons of Norway at (612) 821-4640.
