TNFL

Taste of the NFL, a party with a purpose, started in 1992 right here in Minnesota. Back home this year, the country’s top chefs and the NFL’s greatest players united to raise awareness and funds for hunger relief across America, especially Second Harvest Heartland’s service area of Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Hosted on the eve of the Super Bowl, the event raised a record-breaking one million dollars to support hunger relief. A portion of the proceeds were donated to Second Harvest Heartland, providing nearly 500,000 meals to hungry neighbors right here in our community. Beyond the funds, is the awareness – the ‘why’ behind what we at Second Harvest Heartland do. “We’re excited, and certainly part of that is the financial support, but it’s also the awareness. To be able to have prominent people in our community, in the food community, and the NFL be able to say, ‘this matters,’” shared our CEO, Rob Zeaske.

Heartfelt thank you to the Taste of the NFL board of directors and team, as well as chefs, players, celebrities, and volunteers for the important role they play in hunger relief. Follow the link to view the complete 2018 Taste of the NFL recap video.
