Super Bowl

SuperBowlMinnesota was proud to be the host of Super Bowl LII. The Super Bowl is an event of abundance, and this year, Minnesotans teamed up to transform this abundance into help for local families. As the beneficiary of many local events and partnerships, Second Harvest Heartland was proud to be part of the community coming together to help end hunger.

From financial support and food drives, to volunteer activities and grant funding, the following partners generously supported Second Harvest Heartland during the Super Bowl, helping provide over 1.5 million meals to hungry neighbors in our community!

Heartfelt thank you to: Campbell’s, General Mills Foundation, IDS Center, IDS Center businesses and tenants, MN Vikings Foundation, New England Patriots friends and family, Patriots Foundation, Schwan’s, Super Bowl Legacy Fund, Super Bowl host committee, Taste of the NFL committee, UnitedHealthcare, and many more.

Additionally, Second Harvest Heartland’s Food Rescue Team was excited to be part of a zero-waste initiative surrounding the Super Bowl. Click here to learn how our Meal Connect program helped rescue 152,824 pounds of food and distribute it to those in need.
