During the entire month of September, as part of Hunger Action month, every volunteer hour will be matched with a $5 donation from Bremer Bank—up to $50,000 for the Double Down Challenge. HAM logo_blog post

Last year, Second Harvest Heartland volunteers donated 12,336 hours of their time to help us reach the $50,000 goal, and we need your help to do the same this year!

Are you a new volunteer and unsure of the volunteer experience?

Read some recent volunteer responses about their experience below, and sign up for a shift today!

“I think Second Harvest Heartland is a great non-profit. The volunteer experience allows you to feel directly connected to the communities you are there to help. It is simple to see how your volunteer efforts will help those in need.”

“Such a well-run organization. I was there with my co-workers and across the board we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer with such a good organization...thanks!”

“Best volunteer experience I have had. I have volunteered thousands of hours over the years but your set-up was the best organized and most fun.”

“This was an amazing opportunity. Your staff made it so easy for my team to volunteer. I also appreciated you allowing us to use your meeting room. That is huge!”

“The staff was so friendly and approachable. The building/facility was extremely neat, clean and organized. I was very impressed with this organization and the volume of people that they help each and every day.”

“The staff was awesome! Their positivity and enjoyment for the cause made me feel great about what I was doing.”
