Volunteers Needed for Hunger Action Month!

September 18, 2013 By: Sara Blair Category: WordPress Import

We're halfway through Hunger Action Month, and your support is urgently needed to help make the biggest impact possible on hunger relief in our community during September.

Volunteers are the biggest need to help us reach our goal of 10,000 volunteer hours for the month of September. Every volunteer hour donated to Second Harvest Heartland will be matched with a $5 donation from Bremer Bank, up to a total of $50,000! So not only will you be donating your time to help repack food, you’ll also be helping contribute cash to purchase more food for those in need in our community. Through packing food and the Bremer Bank match, your two-and-a-half hour volunteer shift can help provide enough food for more than 250 meals to our hungry neighbors!

Volunteer shifts at our West (Golden Valley) and East (Maplewood) locations are available during the week, and even this Saturday, September 21, from 12:30-2:00 pm.

Sign up for a volunteer shift today at 2harvest.org/volunteer, and make sure to invite your family and friends!
