The Face of Hunger: Michael
Michael is from Chicago, but moved to Minneapolis because he heard there were better job opportunities in the area. He is currently working two jobs—one as a cashier, and the other as a cook—but still has a hard time making ends meet.
Michael stays at the Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul, where he’s able to save up money to eventually live on his own again.
“I’m staying focused and working to get my own apartment. I’ll go from there,” Michael said. “But at least now I don’t have to worry about finding my next meal, and I can stay focused on my goals.”
