September 11, 2014 By: Sara Blair Category: WordPress Import

September is Hunger Action Month, and we're asking you to help us fight hunger in our community—all month long. Thanks to the support of local businesses and organizations, it’s never been easier to participate in Hunger Action Month in fun and unique ways!

Attend a screening of The Starfish Throwers documentary
The Starfish Throwers documentary film will screen at The Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul at St. Anthony Main Theatre from Friday, September 12 through Thursday, September 18. The award-winning project focuses on three passionate people fighting hunger, across the globe–in their own unique ways. The film features Minneapolis’ own “sandwich man” Allan Law. Enjoy a specially-made Extra Pale Ale served with mandarin oranges, food from the Hot Indian food truck, and live music from The Dang Ol' Tri'ole. For more information, visit

Order the “Second Harvest Heartland” pizza at Galactic Pizza
