We are excited to share that our Food & Fund Drives got a refresh! Now there’s a way to make an even greater impact when you host a Drive with Second Harvest Heartland.

Food & Fund Drives have been a staple program for food banks since their inception. As the need grows, Second Harvest Heartland has worked to find new efficient and effective ways to feed our hungry neighbors, including fresh food – produce, meats and dairy.

You can help us provide more fresh foods, and it may just be easier than you thought!

Let’s say you go out to the grocery store and buy some healthy cereal for your Food & Fund Drive. Depending on the flavor and brand, it’s common to spend $3-4 on one box of cereal. Second Harvest Heartland can get that same box of cereal for $0.13.

Every time someone decides to organize a drive at their workplace, place of worship or civic engagement group, it makes a difference. It’s an opportunity for more people to get involved to help end a solvable problem—hunger. Every dollar and every pound of food counts, so whether you choose to host a Virtual Food & Fund Drive or you want to go the more traditional route, your drive will help us feed our hungry neighbors in need.
