Feeding today to grow tomorrow

We’re continuing our fight toward a day when hunger is no longer an issue for people in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. While we’re making great strides, we’ve still got a lot of work to do that we can’t do without you. We’d like to show you a bit of our successes from the past year and outline what’s to come so you know how we’re charging forward.

Meeting our neighbors' needs

Hunger affects everyone differently. Seniors experience issues that are often times unlike what families face. No matter what situation people are in, Second Harvest Heartland is committed to helping them when they’re in need and continuing to evolve our programs to meet people wherever they are.

Creativity that heals

Every year at Second Harvest Heartland, we look for new ways to not only help more people who struggle with food insecurity, but strengthen partnerships that allow for us to collect, distribute and warehouse the food people need. Here are some of the highlights from 2016.

The source of our strength and innovation

Without the people in our organization, Second Harvest Heartland couldn’t do what we do. We are a group of dedicated, caring individuals who care deeply for those in our community. Through commitments of their time and other resources, we strengthen the hunger relief network every day. Here, you can meet some of the great people we are fortunate enough to work with.

Community partnerships and volunteers

We depend on many people to do what we do for our community. Acknowledging their efforts here is one small way to say thank you and encourage others to join them and us in making a difference in people’s lives.

We can’t do this without you

Our donors, supporters, and volunteers are the very core of Second Harvest Heartland. Here, we acknowledge those whose generosity allows our programs to flourish and our ability to reach more of our neighbors in need to widen. We’re so grateful to all of you!
